Family Constitution Day

The Constitution Belongs to Everyone!

Join the Inglewood Public Library, Langston Bar Association, and Black Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles for We the People: A Family Constitution Day Celebration on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

This free, family-friendly community event is designed to make the U.S. Constitution and our constitutional rights accessible, engaging, and fun for all ages. Attorneys and community leaders will help families explore the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and how constitutional protections affect our everyday lives.

Families can participate in interactive activities including Bill of Rights Bingo, “You Be the Judge” mock cases, a Build the Constitution activity exploring the three branches of government, and the opportunity to create their own “Household Constitution” centered on family values, rights, responsibilities, and shared agreements.

The celebration will also feature civic and voter resources, children’s books on civil rights and government, teen civic leadership opportunities, Pocket Constitution giveaways, and brief “Ask a Lawyer” information sessions.

Come learn, engage, and empower your family while celebrating the rights, responsibilities, and freedoms that belong to all of us.
